In a few days the last season of Dexter begins, but also Google Reader refreshes its last feed! Sad year, huh?
Through out the years I've been on and off between Google Reader and Bloglovin', but now I think I've found something better! I love simple design, usually with a typical Helvetica font, easy interface and access. All of which Feedly offers.
If you're still unsure or want to try a new way of reading feeds you are welcome to follow my blog and others at Feedly!
Hehe sounds like I'm getting paid to say this but that's not the case, I just love promoting good design, 'cause Facebook is dragging the standard down! I always get depressed when logging in to FB, not because of everyones status updates but by the late 90's design...

raw gaia - competition prize.

Don't know if you remember, a few months ago I announced in a post that I've been the lucky winner in a Facebook competition to win the 15 Trial Size Combination pack! Well, there were some lost mail or something and after waiting a month and a half I decided to contact them that I haven't yet gotten any package, especially when they said it would be with me "shortly". They apologized and quickly within a week it arrived! And I couldn't be more thankful and happy! :)

I stumbled upon Raw Gaia when searching for Rhassoul clay and quickly came to be interested in their other products. I was actually going to purchase the sample kit for the summer when I saw the FB competition. I've never won anything where there's only one winner so I'm very glad to be that one randomly picked for once.
You can right now win their MSM Beuty Range Trial Pack on FB, CLICK!
Somehow I must mention the packaging that had dried flowers sprinkled inside. The whole kit came in a bag with their latest brochure.
I haven't tested anything yet but I have no doubt their products are just as wonderful as the packaging.
Thanks again and I'll return with full reviews on the items!

divine oil.

So here's the (almost) finished product of my Divine Oil. As said before, I just need to add the essential oils and it will be my very first oil mix!
The Antipodes Divine Face Oil Certified Organic Avocado Oil and Rosehip 30ml costs £18.99 at Feelunique. I just finished my Caudalíe Vinoperfect Serum (short review coming up!) and mixed it all in that bottle. The only problem is that it's a clear glass bottle, so I'll have to keep it somewhere dark. - I've looked for other pipette flasks but all that I found had a red rubber head, which dissolves in time.
The Antipodes Divine Oil base ingredients (click to read the properties of each oil*):
Persea gratissima (avocado oil)
Macadamia ternifolia (macadamia oil)
Buxus chinensis (jojoba oil)
Rosa canina (rosehip oil)
Canaga odorata (ylang ylang oil)
Amyris balsamifera (torchwood)
Santalum album (sandalwood oil)
Jasminum officinale (jasmine oil)
Citrus sinensis (orange oil)
I took the conclusion that the base oils are equally divided, so 1/4 of each and then a few drops of the essential oils. We'll see about it, there's nothing that says you have to stick to a recipe. I'm also thinking of adding either Tea Tree or Frankincense because of my blemish-prone skin, but I want to do it right the first time.
I will order the essential oils at iHerb 'cause it will come out cheaper there. The only problem is that I can't seem to find "Torchwood", or as it is also called "Amyris Oil", alone. So I'm thinking of leaving that one out. Sandalwood is pretty expensive and I read somewhere that it's price is rising about 25% per year. So I will buy that one diluted into jojoba oil, but I don't feel well by contributing to the high demand of it.
I will update further on the oil as I get all the ingredients. I've already tried it with the base oils alone and it really feels light but hydrating, non clogging and penetrating thanks to jojoba and macadamia that mimics our natural sebum and rosehip that is considered a dry oil. The only heaviness can be the avocado oil, which I'm hoping with its chlorofyll, vitamin A, D and E will help to repair my acne scars and fade them away.
I will probably purchase the original oil in the future just to compare if I did a good DIY job and I will try to figure out the price for a self-made one.
* I don't promote this company, just thought they had valuable information about different oils.

recent iHerb order.

Macadamia oil is good for both dry and blemish-prone skin, makes your hair soft and shiny and can give a protection of SPF6. I mostly wanted it as a base for an oil mix I'm trying to build. Antipodes has an oil, which I haven't tried, but the ingredients there are so simple that I rather make it myself. I've got all the base oils, now I just have to get the essential oils and I've created my own "Divine Oil"!
Talked about this one before about how PinkSoFoxy raved about it. I wouldn't say it smells good, very overpowering, but luckily the scent goes away quickly. Another plus for an 18ml bottle than a usual 10ml!
I will use this both on face and for deodorant properties.
I don't know why but I imagined it to be bigger, and I wished it was bigger! This smells freaking a-mazing! I never thought I were a vanilla-type-of-girl, but this one smells like cookies! I wanna walk around smelling it and like it all day long! Also, it makes your skin super soft and hydrated. I will probably get the soap and parfume too!
Hugo Naturals Essential Mist Vanilla & Sweet Orange
Sticking to Vanilla, I bought this 'cause I saw La Vie Est Belle buying it, and for now there's a single unit price of $0.99! So I slipped it into my bag. But later I saw you could get the French Lavender and this one for almost the price of one!
It smells really delicious, but not as much as the Monoi Oil. For the price I think it's really a good value on them and I will be buying more.

Life Flo Rosehip Seed Oil
This one was for my mom, introducing her to natures Retinal-A. I tried it and thought it was just as good as the one I have, but I still rather stick to my Pai 'cause it's also got the fruit oil.
Aubrey Organics Leave-In Liquid Conditioner & Curl Activator w/ Sea Buckthorn
Another thing La Vie Est Belle bought and recommended. I don't use anything for my hair these days, I do an occasional B&B Surf Spray and of course oil in my hair, but I always get the worst hair the next day, dry and unruly. I must say that I really like this spray, makes my locks more defined and together with some macadamia oil it's just perfect. But as alwys there is a problem the next day, and I feel that my hair gets a little bit dry in the end. But definitely better than B&B's. I want to experiment with other brands for now, but se'll see if I will get back to this one.
Aura Cacia Carrot Seed Oil
It is said that a few drops of this one in a base oil will give you a SPF of 38-40. There's also Raspberry Seed Oil, that will give you SPF40-50, but first of all, I'm not that fair and I eat well, second of all it was hard to find it on iHerb so I settled for the carrot. Haven't yet tried it, but I will definitely pour a few drops in my face cream
and other oil blends for daytime.
Rest is samples.

spring favorites.

Hey, hope you all are well and still want to read my blog! Haha, I can't believe it's nearly a month ago since my last post, but I do this every year this time around. The sun is shining outside my window, the days are longer, my mentality is happier and I'm overall just in love and satisfied with everything with my life. I don't neccesseraily take a break from the computer but blogging is suddenly a chore (even though I have tons to write about!) and I rather just take a break and do other things. But let's move on!
So I know this is a bit late, but here's my spring favorites March to May:
Juice Beauty
I'm really impressed by this brand and it has become one of my new favorites. The Green Apple Peel has been on my wishlist for a very long time now and it has definitely not disappointed me! You'll feel a slight tingling and I'm convinced it has helped with keeping my face clear. I got the Green Apple moisturizer with SPF too, but I like the feeling and consistency of this one more. Smells good and has brightening properties.

Pai Skincare Rosehip BioRegenerate Fruit & Seed Oil
Just a lovely dry oil. I use it mostly at night together with other oils and I believe it has been better at treating my acne scars than the Caudalíe Vinoperfect Serum. What makes this one different is that it's both the Fruit and Seed, most brands only uses the seeds, the fruit is said to be more challenging to extract oil from.

Salcura Antiac
I found this one while searching for Tea Tree Oil alternatives. It has All Natural ingredients and was voted the best acne product on Channel 4 TV documentary "Embarrassing Bodies", which I sometimes watch.
I was skeptic at first so I started off with their smallest spray bottle on 50ml. It has lasted me almost three months, it's not until now I'm at my last few drops and I've used it morning, night and sometimes in between. As time went my face got better and the less sprays I had to use. It's absolutely the most potent acne all-over/spot treatment I've ever used. Review will be up soon!

NUXE Huile Prodigieuse
Don't know exactly how natural it is, but I'd say a small part. But it's just a lovely multi-usage oil that smells amazing and I definitely understand the hype!

Peter and I bought about a kilo of Turmeric, haha yes! We try to use it in everything and I'm very fond of making facial masks together with manuka or buckwheat honey with it. As messy as it is I believe it's made some results in my face.
We've become High Raw Vegans and been living on fresh fruits and veggies for soon two months now. Not eating meat, gluten or dairy, but an occasional fish/seafood, feta cheese and eggs. Don't know exactly were I want to stand on the diet, I'm still experimenting as you see. But what I know is that I have never felt better, my skin is clear except for some unexplainable detox pimples... Peter god rid of his hay fever symptoms! And my scars are healing faster than with any dream potions! There are more benefits to be told about but I will leave it to another post!
